Workflow Automation with Zapier
A working automation connecting Google Sheets to Asana — built, tested, and documented from trigger to action.
Overview
I wanted to move past just reading about automation and actually build ones that work. This project includes two live builds: a Google Form intake that creates a HubSpot ticket and sends an automatic email confirmation, plus a Google Sheets escalation log that creates matching tasks directly in Asana — no manual copying, no missed handoffs.
Approach

Learned Zapier's core trigger-to-action model through guided, hands-on practice before building anything live.

Built a live three-step Zap: a new Google Form response automatically creates a HubSpot ticket, then triggers a confirmation email through Gmail.

Tested the automation with real sample data to confirm it triggered reliably every time.

Built a second automation: a Google Sheets escalation log that creates a matching task directly in Asana.

Documented the build in a Make vs. Zapier comparison, weighing both tools for future client work.
Outcome
This project proved I can design, build, and troubleshoot no-code automations that remove real manual work from a team's day — the core promise of the AI Automation side of my practice.
