Executive Support in Action

Keeping priorities visible, an inbox under control, and international travel logistics handled — the unglamorous work that protects a leader's time.

Overview

Not every valuable skill produces a flashy deliverable. This case study is a closer look at the EVA side of my practice — the day-to-day work of keeping an executive's priorities visible, their inbox under control, and their travel logistics handled before they even have to ask.

Approach

  1. 01

Built an executive priorities tracker in Notion covering board prep, offsite planning, investor relations, and leadership sessions — each with an owner, budget, and cadence.

  2. 02

Managed a full inbox of executive correspondence, from quick meeting confirmations to sensitive items like contract signatures and infrastructure decisions.

  3. 03

Researched and compared three international flight options for a Nairobi-to-San-Francisco trip, weighing total cost against routing and comfort.

  4. 04

Shortlisted four hotels by walking distance to the meeting site, and four ground transport options by cost and reliability.

  5. 05

Delivered a clear recommendation rather than just a list of options, so the executive could decide in seconds, not re-do the research themselves.

In Practice

Lead Research & Outreach Support

Good executive support often stretches into light business-development work — sourcing the right people to talk to, not just managing the calendar once the meeting is booked. I used Hunter.io to build a targeted prospect list, then logged and enriched those contacts in HubSpot so outreach could be tracked the same way as any other relationship.

Contact details below (emails and phone numbers) are blurred before publishing — these are real prospect lists from outreach work, not fictional sample data.

Outcome

The judgment call this work depends on isn't just gathering information — it's knowing what to recommend. That combination of thoroughness and decisiveness is what defines good executive support, and it's the part of the job I enjoy most.
