Support & Sales Data Entry and Reporting
A daily operations log turned into a summary dashboard — consistent data entry, calculated metrics, and two chart types built from scratch.
Overview
Every reporting dashboard starts as a blank sheet and a discipline: enter data the same way, every row, every time. This project tracks daily customer support and sales activity — requests received and resolved, sales made, revenue, and customer satisfaction — then turns that raw log into a summary a manager could actually read in ten seconds.
Approach
- 01
Structured a daily log with consistent columns: ID, Date, Department, Activity, requests received and resolved, sales made, revenue, and customer satisfaction.
- 02
Entered data consistently across both departments — Customer Support and Sales — and four activity types, so the data stays clean enough to aggregate later.
- 03
Built formulas to calculate resolution rate and other derived metrics automatically, instead of computing anything by hand.
- 04
Added a summary section pulling total requests, total sales, total revenue, and average satisfaction and resolution rate into one place.
- 05
Built a pie chart showing sales by activity type, and a line chart tracking revenue over the month, so the same data answers two different questions.

Outcome
Clean data entry is the unglamorous part of every reporting job — but it is what makes the summary trustworthy. This project shows the full chain: structured entry, calculated metrics, and two chart types built from the same underlying data, ready for someone who needs the story, not the spreadsheet.
